Training of Trainers Session for Girls Positive and Safe Coaching Pathway
We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the very first Training of Trainers session for the Girls Positive and Safe Coaching Pathway! This three-day virtual training session, held from 26 to 28 February, brought together a team of 26 dedicated trainers, marking significant milestone in our journey towards promoting inclusivity and safety in sports coaching.
The primary objective of the sessions was to equip trainers with the knowledge and skills essential for effectively facilitating the workshop and supporting coaches in implementing the Girls Positive and Safe Coaching Pathway in their respective regions or communities.
For IDF has joined Anita Pariani and Maria Garcia Castro.
The session, facilitated by Game Mothibi, Rachel Mait, and Stacey Kim from TAFISA, kicked off with opening remarks by TAFISA Secretary General Jean-Francois Laurent, who emphasized, "We are going to break down this gap with you, paving the way for a more inclusive and empowering future in sports coaching.". Over the course of the three-day session, participants actively engaged in interactive discussions, gained valuable insights from expert trainers, and collaborated with peers from diverse backgrounds. Key topics explored included safeguarding practices, diversity and inclusion, gender awareness, and strategies for cultivating a positive coaching environment.
